We are well aware that there isn’t always the greatest amount of time allocated to staff training, especially for non-statutory subjects such as SRE. It is simply too expensive to provide cover to get teachers out of the classroom to be fully trained – and to be honest most schools have other priorities.
As a result we have tried to be as flexible as possible – not only have we filled this site with a whole host of resources and activities plus the instructions to use them, but also provided factsheets and how to videos to make sure you feel confident enough to use them.
However, no matter how much we pack this site with resources and support there is still no better means of training than working face-to-face. Ideally to get the best out of this package we would like to provide at least 10 hours worth of training.
This can be done in a number of ways. If you have enough staff at your school willing to take part then we can come along and deliver the sessions in your school either spread out over twilight sessions after school, or booked in to fill inset days. We are flexible and happy to work around you. Alternatively, book a couple members of staff on to our open training courses.
